Andrew vs Kevin: The Wheel Keeps Turning

Andrew @Robo1189 WheelBurrow blown tyre 136.1

|
Kevin @kbartelt07 Lamb to the Slaughter 117.34

It was a power matchup in League play in Week 10 with #1 Andrew answering the challenge of the #2 seed. It was a momentous week for him, using the big 2 – 0 to add yet another full game to his league lead. Andrew could now take a week off, score no points at all, and still be all alone in the driver’s seat.
It was a big missed opportunity for Kevin. He entered the matchup 2 games behind Andrew ahead of him, and despite the League-leader putting up his lowest points total of the season, Kevin just could not cash in. The loss is made even louder after ending the week 0 – 2 after dropping his Roo Conference matchup as well.
Shannon vs Matt: Burnt Baked Goods Torch the Bread
|
Shannon @shanzo43 Burnt Baked Goods 187.92

|
Matt @TheBread NonDenominationalMcCaffry 120.6
|
||
In a huge Week 10 matchup of teams above the cutoff, it was Shannon coming out with a big win to finish the week 2 – 0. The win helped him jump a spot in the standings, and he sports a 90 point advantage on the two other 11 – 5 teams.
After squeaking out a win in Conference play, Matt ended the week 1 – 1 after running into a buzzsaw in League play. Luckily enough for him, the even result was enough to keep him treading water in the last spot above the cut.

It was a big win in League play for Caleb in week 10, who paired his Conference win with this League win to go 2 – 0 and jump two spots in the standings. He still trails the nest spot by 90 points, but he’s standing on business with the wins alone right now.
It was a stinging loss for Tyler who also fell in Conference play, and dropped two spots in the standings for it. His points are keeping him ahead of the rest of the 7 – 9 field, but he needs to start stacking wins quickly.
Benny vs Venice: Run Bijan Run Steamrolls JT MVP
|
Benny @TheJoker10 Run Bijan Run 🏃🏿➡️ 180.88

Venice @vpettijohnjr JT MVP 169.68

The points were on full dislay as Benny notched a high-scoring win in Week 10. It was only a redemption win, however, after dropping his Conference game in an even higher-scoring battle. The 1 – 1 on the week holds him firm in place in the standings.
It was also a split decision on the week for Venice who scored a victory in Conference before dropping his league-tilt. Like Benny, the 1 – 1 locks him into his place in the standings for another week.
Casey vs Jacob: Hawk Tuah Tagoviaola Dominates Start to Finish

Casey‘s week ended with wins all around after sweeping his Conference, and League matchups in Week 10. The 2 – 0 didn’t exactly bear fruit for him, however, he got leaped in the standings by someone below him, now chasing them by less than 20 points, but he remains in the top 5, and he has a full 2 game lead on a playoff spot.
It was a return to Earth for Jacob who found himself finishing the week 0 – 2 after going 2 – 0 in Week 9. The two losses only dropped him one spot in the standings, but its the wrong time of year to be sliding away from the cutoff.
Alex vs Joseph: Get your Tets out Survives Sloppy Shootout

Joseph @jcconnor Drakes cakes

Alex turned in a disappointing total in Week 10, costing him his Conference matchup, but it was still enough to get him the win n League play. Even though his score left little to be desired, he still scored just enough to hold onto his spot in the standings in the end.
There was a rash of sub-100 scores in Week 10 including Joseph who saw his double-digit effort end in a 0 – 2 finish to the week. The result dropped him a spot in the standings from 18th to 19th.
Adam vs Jack: Biggums Gets D’d Down

Jack @givethemtheD givethemtheD

There’s only one guaranteed 2 – 0 in the league every week, and it always accompanies the high score. Jack got the memo and made sure to take the 2 – 0 by the horns with nearly 200 points n the board in Week 10. The win boosted him 3 spots up the standings, and the points went a long way for him after already being a top 5 scoring team.
Despite barely eclipsing the triple digit mark, and running into the high score on the week, Adam still managed to finish 1 – 1. Unfortunately for him, it was a rather loud 1 – 1, dropping him two places in the league standings.
Jess vs Woody: Waddle-Waddle Boom

Woody @Wt8737 Wt8737

Woody finished Week 11 2 – 0, adding another victory in League play to his tally. The two wins turned out to be symbolic for him as he used them to move up two spots in the standings. His 5 – 1 League play record on the season has helped keep him afloat.
It was a trying week for Jess who had a wealth of players score in the single digit range for a score that didn’t reach 100. The paltry total also cost her the game in her Conference matchup, but the damage wasn’t as catastrophic as it could have been, costing her only one spot in the standings.
Mitch vs Christian: Kittle Me Purdy
|

Christian @seachicken22 Kittle me timbers
126.22

It was a split 1 – 1 for Christian after he dropped his Conference match, but earned the win in his League matchup. The result helped side him up a single spot in the standings. The weeks are getting short, and time to stack the wins to turn his season around is quickly running out.
Mitch was too busy celebrating his Conference win that didn’t hear the footsteps coming up behind him, and finished the wee at 1 – 1 after falling in this League spat. The .500 result helped him in the standings, however, moving up 1 spot.
Reece vs Lucas: Four Horsemen Drag the Griddy Wagon
|
Reece @Revoke The Four Horsemen
119.70

||
|
Lucas @ArmedRodgery21 Griddy Griddy Bang Bang
90.82
|
||
Reece walked away from his Conference matchup with a black eye, but he still had punches left to throw in this one, using it to split his week at 1 – 1. The good news is, it allowed him to tread water in the standings, holding his place. The bad news is, he held his place squarely in the Danger Zone.
In a death-defying stunt of fantasy football, Lucas decided to stand in last spot, and jump up and down as hard as he could to see if the floor would fall out and he could slide any lower. Fortunately the standings are up to code and the floor in fact did not give out. It just left him in a heap on the floor sporting an 0 – 2 in need of a band aid.
LOSER’S LOWLIGHT: Lucas got a highlight game from Chris Olave (21.4) and solid work from DeVonta Smith, but the rest of the Roo lineup sputtered. Sam Darnold didn’t help, and the bench offered exactly nothing.
FINAL VERDICT: The Horsemen didn’t need all four riders this week — Lucas simply never got the Griddy started.
With these matchups factored in, the Standings at the conclusion of Week 8 would look like this:
| Seed | Player | Record | Points | Single Game POS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Andrew | 14 – 2 | 1,540.70 | 1 (8 – 2) |
| 2 | Shannon | 11 – 5 | 1,445.88 | 2 (7 – 3) |
