Andrew vs Mitch: WheelBurrow Keeps Rolling Over Purdy

Andrew tightened his stranglehold on the top to the League standings this week, going 2 – 0 with his win in Eagle Conference and in his Inter-Conference clash with Mitch. He extends his lead on the top spot to a full 2 games.

The loss dropped Mitch to a split on the week after he came away from his Roo Conference game victorious. The bigger problem for Mitch is his League-low points total. Nearly 50 points behind the next lowest-scoring team, his options for upward mobility are quickly vanishing.

Benny vs Adam: Run Bijan Run Tramples Biggums

It was a big week for Benny, who used a 2 – 0 to vault himself above .500 n the season, and also above the cutoff and into the playoffs in Week 9. He sports a nice little cushion over all of the teams below him with his points total.

Adam split the week, and it left him at .500 on the year. The 1 – 1 was good enough to push him 3 spots up the standings, and only one team below him sports a higher points total. He’s very much in charge of the outcome of his own season.

Caleb vs Casey: The Tuahquake Shakes Pegleg’s Faith

Casey narrowly went 2 – 0 on the week, combining his Roo Conference win with the close victory over in this inter-Conference tilt. It helped propel him up the League standings 4 spots, and he finds himself sitting second of the teams in the 9 – 5 bracket.

The loss for Caleb was close, less than 6 points, and the damage was also mitigated in the standings. He dropped only a single spot, and only trails Casey for that spot by 3 points.

Venice’s JT MVP grounded by Alex’s Get your Tets out in inter-conference upset

Alex streaked his way to 2 – 0 this week with an inter-Conference win. The wins created plenty of momentum for him, vaulting him above the cutoff and into the playoffs. The fly in the ointment for him? The three 8 – 6 teams below him all have him covered on points, two of them by just over 100 points.

It was a disastrous week for Venice, going winless and dropping 6 spots, all the way out of the playoffs. He drops to last of the trio of teams at 8 – 6, trailing those other teams by around 70 points.

Kevin vs Jess: Lamb to the Slaughter Carves Up Jessicoot in Inter-Conference Clash

It was a split week for Kevin on the scoreboard, but he was still able to tread water in the standings after Jess gifted him an inter-Conference win. He maintains a one game lead on his spot, but the 9 – 5 teams below him are licking their chops. All of them except one have more points than he does, and the one he does have more points than? It’s a razor-thin margin of just 0.72 points.

Jess took it on the chin 0 – 2 in Week 9 after leaving two incoming 0’s in her lineup. The 0’s resulted in a score just under 100, which was costly. She has more points than 3 teams ahead of her, and she remains within striking distance of two more ahead of her, but willingly bleeding points won’t be doing her any favors down the stretch.

Matt vs Joseph: McCaffrey Ministry Destroys Drakes cakes in Cross-Conference Rout

After dropping a huge Kangaroo Conference matchup, Matt ended the week on even at 1 – 1 with a free win in Inter-Conference play. It was a much needed win, however, and it kept him just above the cutoff exiting the week.

Joseph phoned it in for Week 9, posting a score that was equal parts fitting and embarrassing. He drops 3 spots in the standings.

Tyler vs Christian: Mahomewreckers Meet the Timber Saw

It was a much-needed win for Christian in Inter-Conference play in Week 9 after losing the Eagle Conference upset. The .500 finish to the week helped give him a full game lead on staying out of the 20/10 collar, but with only 50 points over last place, he could still find himself tumbling down the basement stairs if he isn’t careful.

It was a trying week for Tyler, who saw his team turn in less than 100 points at full-throat. It was a loud and costly 0 – 2, dropping Tyler back to .500 on the year, and out of the playoffs two spots below the cutoff.

Shannon vs Lucas: The Baked Goods Burn the Griddy Gang

Shannon used a pointsgasm to rocket to 2 – 0 in Week 9 pulling the old “ope, ‘scuze me” up the standings. With a league-high score for the week he jumped 3 places in the standings, and gave himself a decent points cushion of around 40 points on the top spot of all the 9 – 5 teams.

It was another week of big momentum for Lucas with his third consecutive score above the 150 point mark, he just pickd the wrong week to run into the highest score on the week. Lucas remains in the 20/10 collar, but if he can keep the 150 points a week streak going, he won’t be wearing that for long.

Jack vs Jacob: Queens Cook While the D Goes Diet

Jacob used a much-needed 2 – 0 in Week 9 to battle back to even on the season, raising himself 3 spots in the standings. He’s still hampered by the third lowest points total in the League, but taking the wins where they count is keeping him afloat.

It was a rough outing for Jack who fell to 0 – 2 on the week after 60% of his team failed to reach a double-digit score. The losses dropped him 4 spots in the standings, but there is a silver lining: he has a commanding points lead on all the other 6 – 8 teams, and no one between he and the cutoff has a higher points total. The wins have become paramount.

Reece vs Woody: The Horsemen Gallop, But Woody Rides Off Victorious

The game that looked like the League’s equivalent of plain oatmeal turned out to be the tightest contest around the League in Week 9. I was deuces wild for Woody, who came away with a 2.25 victory and used that to jump 2 spots in the standings.

Reece also split the week after winning his Eagle Conference tilt. The .500 result didn’t pay great dividends in the standings, however, as he was only able to climb a single spot. The good news is, he has the commanding lead of the 5 – 9 teams, the bad news is that’s only good for 17th.
