Despite two consecutive losses, Andrew enters Week 8 atop the power rankings. Both of those losses have come with a top 4 score in Eagle Conference, and it’s helped him stack enough points to split the 6-way tie atop the standings by almost 30 points.
Matt
League Rank: 3
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Matt holds strong in the 2nd position headed into Week 8, part of the 6 team arms race for the League’s top spot at 5 – 2. He faced a significant test in Week 8, and came out victorious against playoff competition.
Benny
League Rank: 2
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
The momentum continues building for Benny. A week after setting a new season-high score, he kept the wins rolling off the press by notching yet another victory north of the 150 point range.
Caleb
League Rank: 5
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Week 7 was a big tilt for our resident one-legged wonder. A huge win against Shannon, the team directly above him in the Eagle standings, helped add him to the fray of 5 – 2 teams who vie for the top spot. Unfortunately, he’s about 100 points behind in that race, so wins continue to be his best way to get that single leg up on the competition.
Shannon
League Rank: 4
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Shannon also finds himself deep in the scrum for the League lead at 5 – 2. And while he sits within 100 points of the top spot, losing 2 of his last 3 certainly rings loudly right now.
Tyler
League Rank: 6
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
While Tyler rounds out our gaggle of teams at 5 – 2, it’s the points that separate him from the group. The rest of the 5 – 2 teams are all within 100 points of the lead while Tyler is closer to 150 out.
Venice
League Rank: 7
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
After starting the season 1 – 3, Venice has roared back into contention reeling off three consecutive wins, with two of them coming against competition ahead of him on this list. He currently tops the list of 4 – 3 teams to the tune of about 35 points.
Jack
League Rank: 11
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Jack used the old “entertaining loss” to stay strong in the power rankings this week. He dropped below .500 to 3 – 4, but he did so with the second highest score in Kangaroo Conference, a loss that was by less than a single point.
Christian
League Rank: 16
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
It’s wild to think about a bottom 5 team in the top half of the Power Rankings, but here Christian is. Despite sitting at 2 – 5 he sports the 9th highest points total in the entire league. 4 of his 5 losses have come against teams currently inside the top 8 right now. He’s primed for a strong rebound in the standings if he can only start clicking off those vital wins.
Adam
League Rank: 8
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Adam occupies the final playoff spot in Week 8, and he also occupies the final spot in the top half of the Week 8 Power Rankings. He has only a slight edge on his current spot in the standings, just 10 points, but the news for him stays good, only 1 team below him (Christian,) has a higher points total.
Kevin
League Rank: 9
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Kevin is the first team on the outside of the playoffs looking in. He trails Adam for that spot by 10 points. He won a tight matchup in Kangaroo Conference in Week 7, a 1.22 point win over Casey for his second win in a row.
Casey
League Rank: 12
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Closely following Kevin is a trend Casey is surely looking to buck after dropping below .500 at the hands of the narrow loss to Kevin in Week 7, and now trailing him in these Power Rankings.
Mitch
League Rank: 10
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Mitch’s team lives on a see-saw. His 4 wins have all come with scores over 130 points. His 3 losses have all come with scores under 85. The wins are the only thing keeping him afloat right now, his 803 total points are the lowest of the entire League, and put him well behind the 8 ball in any tied scenarios he finds himself in.
Alex
League Rank: 13
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Consistency has alluded Alex this season. He started 2 – 0 including a win scoring over 170. He then followed that up with 2 consecutive losses to drop to .500. Since then he’s gone 1 – 2 to check in at 3 – 4 coming out of Week 7. He’s got enough points to keep him dangerous, but finding the win column with consistency continues to remain a focus.
Jess
League Rank: 14
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
After 7 weeks there is a clearly established pattern with Jess’ losses: they’ve all come with scores below 120. She has yet to come out victorious scoring less than 120. Luckily for her, she’s topped the mark 3 times this season, and they were all wins. Maybe it’s her magic number, maybe it’s just coincidence.
Reece
League Rank: 15
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
It has been a trying campaign for Reece this season. Two of his 3 wins came against teams currently in the top 8. His latest loss came against a team who has not appeared on this list yet. The problem that is quickly taking shape for him is points: there are currently only 4 teams sporting a lower points total.
Jacob
League Rank: 18
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
After starting the season 0 – 4, Joseph has finally shown some signs of life, going 2 – 1 over the last 3 weeks. The points aren’t pretty, but he can change that outlook by continuing to stack some wins moving forward.
Joseph
League Rank: 17
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Joseph and Jacob have had alternate starts to the season. Joseph started 2 – 1, and has since gone 0 – 4 including a loss to Jacob. Making the slide even more dire is the fact that only 1 of those losses has come against a current playoff team.
Lucas
League Rank: 20
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Lucas finally broke through into the win column on the season in Week 7 with a victory over Woody. He still wears the last place 20/10 collar, but for the first time this season, he has some momentum to build on.
Woody
League Rank: 19
Last Week’s Power Rank: NA
Woody started reeling off wins like he was Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, randomly springing back to life in the middle of the night suddenly, and then in a flash it was over. And not only was it over, it was over at the hands of the only winless team on the season.
